MIRROR POEMS

Usually nine lines long. First verse is four lines long, followed by a single line that marks a turning point followed by the opening four lines in reverse (i.e. "reflected")

POETRY TECHNIQUES

ALLITERATION

The repetition of letters usually at the beginning of words to create a sound or rhythmic effect. Needs to be used with care as it can become comical, in a "tongue-twister"way.
